Direct cloning/updating from local to online site/DB?

    i’m looking for a solution for easy cloning and updating posts from local machine to live site, so my suggestion would be to have one “clone/update options” page, where administrator can select what to clone to another site/db.

    clone/update:
    posts
    pages
    categories
    tags
    custom fields
    taxonomies

    clone now! (or cron option for hourly, daily cloning)

    This plugin doesn’t really offer that kind of break-down. You might try Backup-Buddy or managewp.com, they may offer that fine level of granularity…
