2.0 Performance Problems?

  • Since, I’ve installed WordPress 2.0…the performance has decreased. Pages are taking a lot longer to load. Is there a problem with the current chache feature in 2.0?

    All the plug-ins I’ve been using have been updated for 2.0. Though I’m not ready to rule out that maybe a plug-in is causing the problem.

    So no one else is seeing performance problems?

    I installed on an old blog the other day. I did think it felt slower, but I haven’t timed it.

    I have just upgraded to 2.0 this weekend, and have also noticed that pages take more time to load. Commenters on my weblog have said the same thing.

    Well, I have updated yesterday and don’t seem to have any problems so far.

    I’m having the problem here, it took ages to load after upgraded.

    Is this a known problem? Can anyone on the development side comment?

    I have not yet noticed speed problems except when trying to upload an oversized image. There used to be a “make thumbnail choice” and I didn’t see that this time. Other than that I am okay so far. Could it be a ping issue on posts?

    same here I notice alot slower, 1st I thought it was only me now im wrong

    When time allows, I plan on making sure I’m once again completely up to date with theme/plug-ins. I just came aware of some updates to the theme and plug-ins I’m using since my upgrade to WordPress 2.0.

    If you did have performance problems after an upgrade, were you able to fix it and how?

    So far I have updated the theme and made fixed some of my own XHTML coding mistakes (slight improvement). We’ve also updated as many of the plug-ins as we could (no improvements). The only update we have yet to find is for Customizable Post Listings by Scott Reilly. His site has been down lately, so if anyone knows if there is a version later than 1.1…please let us know. I noticed some improvements when I stopped displaying “most recent comments”, but still displaying most recent posts.

    As I’m writing this post, the site ( https://www.coffee2code.com/ ) for the plug-in appears back up. I’ll have to check things out.
