%postname% and the word "tag" = 404

    Hi,

    I am using /%postname%/ as the permalink structure on my German language-blog on mkln.org. Also I have set the tag base to schlagwort. “Schlagwort” means “tag” in German.

    By chance I clicked on a link pointing to one of my blog articles with the title “Tag 4: Phi Phi Viewpoint” (“Day 4: Phi Phi Viewpoint”). This article’s URL is set to https://mkln.org/tag-4-phi-phi-viewpoint/. When you click it, however, it changes to https://mkln.org/schlagwort/-4-phi-phi-viewpoint/ which, as there is no such site, leads to a 404 error.

    WordPress exchanges my title’s word “tag” into the tag base “schlagwort” thereby destroying that link.

    Is this a bug or a feature?
