Fatal Error when activating plugin, no information why

If you are getting a Fatal Error, with no error message, I tracked it down to not having installed PHP mycrypt.
Ensure you install mycrypt!
If using ubuntu,
sudo apt-get install php5-mcrypthttps://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/wpnewsman-newsletters/
