Are emails sent when there is activity on the group wall?

  • Having the same question. It seems that there is no notification send out.

    Same here. When “New Topics” is selected, no notifications are sent for new Activities. I think those should be included under “New Topics”, since I don’t have forums enabled. I tried to investigate, but unable to figure out how the plugin works.

    This was in 3.2.3 by the way.

    To answer the original question, if the group member has their group email setting set to “All Mail”, that user will receive all activity as soon as the content is posted to the group.

    To answer jonlachlan, if you don’t have the forums component enabled, selecting “New Topics” will not send any emails. Try setting your email setting to “All Mail”. This is kind of a UX bug, since if forums is disabled, this option shouldn’t be seen. I’ll post an issue about this.

    I agree that it’s really just a UX problem. Thanks for understanding. Great plugin, by the way. Turns my WP site into a Google Groups knock-off. ??
