Hello. Pretty standard WP install here, 2010 theme etc. The labels in WP > Settings > Privacy should be made more informative. There is no explicit “the site is public”, but only two options regarding search engines.

    Here’s what I see:

() Allow search engines to index this site.
() Ask search engines not to index this site.
Note: Neither of these options blocks access to your site — it is up to search engines to honor your request.

() I would like my blog to be visible only to registered users of Network 23
() I would like my blog to be visible only to registered users I add to “NAME”
() I would like “NAME” to be visible only to Admins.

Perhaps some headings could help, eg:

    Public
() Allow search engines to index this site.
() Ask search engines not to index this site.
Note: Neither of these options blocks access to your site — it is up to search engines to honor your request.
    Private
() I would like my blog to be visible only to registered users of Network 23
() I would like my blog to be visible only to registered users I add to “NAME”
() I would like “NAME” to be visible only to Admins.
