• After upgrading the Nextgen plugin, my galleries went wonky.
Either no photos appear at all (they were there before) or there is a list display that shows the Index of the particular gallery. I deactivated every plugin except for NextGen, but don’t really think that the plugins were a problem as they were the same ones that have been in use.
I am not too interested in reinstalling NextGen because I don’t want to lose all the photos in the galleries – or is there some way to do this?

    Thanks for your help.

    Oops – forgot my website – https://www.tripwich.com

    Ouch

It seems like the latest upgrade of NextGen has been causing a lot of problems.

The issue here is that on any particular gallery/album page, its not loading the proper template.

Are you just using the basic tag?

    Looks like: [nggallery id=1]

Try to use one of the other templates, just for kicks:

    [nggallery id=1 template=carousel]
    [nggallery id=1 template=caption]

Whatever you are using, try the others. Be sure to replace id with your gallery.

This should narrow down if its a particular template file, or something wonky with NextGen itself.

    smigliorato,

Thanks for the suggestions. Nothing worked. After using one of them and then going back to the tag without the template tags, a gallery shows up as not found. That and others are not listed in those that have a list.

Any other suggestions? Using another photo plugin is really a last resort as we have so many images that we don’t want to upload again.

Is there a way to revert to an older version of NextGen without losing all of our images?

As so many seem to be having problems after the update, I am certain the plugin authors are working on a fix, but it would be nice if we could get a progress report.
