  • If there is no screenshot provided by th author(s) there isn’t anything to display. Since this is a new feature in WP 2.0 – most older themes don’t have any screenshot.

You make them if you want them. Load the theme in your blog, take a screenshot (print screen button for windows keyboard, no idea for mac), load the screenshot into a graphics program, resize to about 300px by 250px (in proportion), then save as a .png or .jpg (I think jpgs work too), and load to the theme folder.

    Thanks,

vkaryl : I see a file (screenshot.png), in the WP 2.0 default and classic themes. It seems to be the file you are talking about.

But nothing appears in the presentation page…

Well, that’s odd then. Try clearing your cache and hard refreshing?

Just the same white items instead of nice screenshots.

Hmmm. Truly strange, I just checked one of my installs and it’s working fine….

You haven’t done any editing in the admin stylesheet or anything, have you?

And you’re not using some browser which doesn’t allow display of .pngs? And you haven’t disabled display of images using FF’s dev extension or something?

I was having the same problem. Then I re-uploaded the screenshot.pnp files in BINARY mode and they worked fine. My FTP program got set to ascii mode and I didn’t notice it.
