Overlay doesn't show when validating checkout form

Hi There,
I’m using the theme Striking with Woocommerce and when a user checks out the form doesn’t overlay the spinning circle when they hit the place order button to show that something is happening. I’ve looked in the code to see if the right code is being parsed and it is – but it’s just not showing up on screen. does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing the problem? css, js or something else?
