• I just made a twentyeleven child theme. I would like to add google adsense links centered just under my header as it is done on this website.

    Here is my website.

    Any help you could give is appreciated.

  • There are several plug-ins that help you set that up:

    I have tried a few of these plugins and none of them allow me to place adsense in the header. I’m currently using easy adsense. It does not allow placing adsense on the header.

    I’m also using a twentyeleven theme extension plugin. I installed it because it advertises that you can install a sidebar on the header, but I don’t see that functionality.

    I also went to the parent theme, copied the header.php file, pasted it under my import url line of code in the child theme, then inserted the google adsense code before the last div id main tag at the end of the pasted header.php code, but still see no adsense links below my header.

    copied the header.php file, pasted it under my import url line of code in the child theme

    this sounds as if you pasted the header code into the style.css of the child theme – this will not work.

    to edit header.php in the child theme, you will need to save the full template file header.php into the child theme using ftp https://codex.www.ads-software.com/FTP_Clients

    thank you, i’m so darn close now. I have done as u say and added the header.php into the child theme. now when i add the google adsense code for the links at the end of the header.php code, it only shows up as a small tan blank space under my header instead of showing links. any suggestions?

    here is the link to my website if you want to see what i mean

    the adsense code is showing in the browser – it seems that google is not adding any ads;

    allow a bit of time for google to ‘find’ the code, or try to inquire with google adsense directly.

    the link units are actually showing on some of the pages like this one.

    maybe it has something to do with the relevance of the content.
