    I am giving Tablepress a go, but seem to be only running into problems while importing CSV or HTML.

    HTML error
    Error 68: htmlParseStartTag: invalid element name in line 7842, column 3

    <td class=xl6824069 width=193 style='width:145pt;font-size:11.0pt;color:white;
      font-weight:700;text-decoration:none;text-underline-style:none;text-line-through:
      none;font-family:Calibri;border:none;background:#366092;mso-pattern:#366092 none'>Assault
      Cannon X</td>

    Error 68: htmlParseStartTag: invalid element name in line 7868, column 3

    <td class=xl6424069 width=59 style='width:44pt;font-size:11.0pt;color:white;
      font-weight:400;text-decoration:none;text-underline-style:none;text-line-through:
      none;font-family:Calibri;border:none;background:#366092;mso-pattern:#366092 none'><span
      style='mso-spacerun:yes'>??????????? </span>25 </td>

    And CSV

    Pinpoint the errorline, but can’t make sence of it

    It is the middle one but it seems to be the same?

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
    I’m not really sure what the error is, but my assumption is that it is related to character encoding, at least for the CSV file.

    The HTML file fails because the HTML that is generated by Excel is not valid (in terms of the format the HTML importer wants).
    Therefore, I suggest that we concentrate on the CSV file.

    If possible, I’d like to take a direct look. Can you therefore please email me the XLS and the CSV file, if possible both in ZIP archive, to prevent our email programs from messing with them? My address is in the main plugin file tablepress.php.
    I’ll then gladly take a look and try to find out what’s wrong there.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi tobias
    Thx for the reply. The errorline is the D65-S line (middle). The import fails every time. Even if I first open it in Textpad or other text editor. If I remove that line it is importing!! What a lovely tool you have created!! But that darn line, can’t see the issue!

    Do you know a tool to validate a csv file

    Hi,

    cajos, please email me the CSV file, packed in a ZIP archive. Only with that can I really investigate this, for example for internal issues with the character encoding. Things like that don’t “make it” through when posting the affected line here, so the three lines above don’t really help and I can’t spot anything wrong in them.
    So, please email me the file as described in my previous post.

    Thanks,
    Tobias

    Mee too facing the same issue.

    Hi,

    can you please provide more details here? What is your exact problem?
    The link to the website is not really helping, because I can’t see the problem there.

    Regards,
    Tobias
