• I’ve updated to WP2 and have had to add another page to my blog. I wrote it out, and it proved to be quite a long page with a couple of images at the bottom (see here). But I noticed some errors and misspellings, so I went back to fix it. 80% of the page loaded into the text box that I could edit and the remaining section loaded into the space immediately below it… almost like a preview, but not actually in the preview field at the bottom.

It hit me as strange, so I tried to save and upon viewing this page, noted that everything that was outside of the text box during the edit was lost requiring me to completely rewrite it.

I thought it was maybe an isolated incident, but every time I would go back and edit that page, I lost the same portion over and over.

Is there a maximum length for pages in WP2? Or is it some glitch that I’m going to have to hack?

  • It seems a bit strange and smells like a bug. Did you use the Rich editor or the (X)HTML text editor?

( The “see here” in your post doesn’t work as a link. )

I think I was using the rich text editor (which I have since turned off since it drives me nuts.) It also added a bunch of extraneous code into my text boxes that I specified here.

Sorry, I cannot see that your page is too long, and I cannot see any extraneous code.
    Did you find a solution?
If your problem persists, would you describe a way to have a better look at the page.

If you really have extraneous code, one sure way of getting such code would be to cut and paste from any program that is not a pure text editor, such as a web browser or Word.
