Dynamic Menu with Woocommerce and product categories

Hi, I’d like to know if you have a “best practice” to achieve this kind of functionality.
I have a store layout set to all categories from products and a single_product layout for every subcategory (child).
Now I’d like if the menu would show up accordingly to that. For example if I’m in the category(menu) Women I’d like the menu to show only that section and so on for the other categories.
I guess I can do that writing a custom function in the theme and build the menu myself, but I’d like to know if any of you already went thought this issue.
