It (https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/more-privacy-options/) is not a single site plugin. You must have a WordPress Network, aka Multisite, to benefit from this plugin as written.

    I somehow missed that…
I have used your plugin on Multisite installs before and it is very nice. Time to revise one of my scripts.

    Cheers.

Having a heck of a time.

Using WP 3.51 and P2 theme (most recent download).
Followed the directions for your plugin (This is NOT a multi-site or network site. It is a third-party hosted stand-alone WP install.)

Created an mu-plugins directory and copied the ds_wp3_private_blog.php file to it.

Made settings through Settings/Reading/ for no static page (which exists); and “I would like my blog to be visible only to registered users I add to “” “.

Created a new user with ‘author’ ranking.

Opened fresh URL to the domain.

Went to the static page just fine; but when I used the log-in option in the right column and logged in as the test user, it took me to the dashboard of the user.

That seems logical, but it’s not where I wanted it to take me. I wanted it to take me to the frontpage of the P2 theme. And therein lies what I believe to be the problem:

In the Settings/Reading page there isn’t any page option in the dropdown for the “Posts Page” setting. I’m thinking that may be a P2 issue, but since they aren’t answering my posts in their Support section, I’m becoming a bit desperate. Hoping any of you have a solution.

Thanks in advance; and please, any input appreciated.

    CORRECTION:

    I previously wrote:

    Should be:

Made settings through Settings/Reading/ for a static page (which exists); and “I would like my blog to be visible only to registered users I add to “” “.
