I’m the super-admin for my site and have never had any problems before, but recently, some tags (like center and script) have been pulled out of posts without my knowledge. I’ve had to go back in and add them, but I’m not sure why they are disappearing or how to prevent it from happening.

It would be great if you could find a case which can repeatably demonstrate this behavior, then we can find the bug.

I have two examples, both of which have happened in the last two days. I’ve since had to fix them so they displayed correctly, but here are the links:

The top parts of these threads, where the images are, is saved and scheduled with the center tags surrounding them. After they had been posted, I noticed the tags had been removed.

Both of these polls have the poll code as you see it now when I scheduled them. After they went live, half the code was missing from them.

I won’t have another one to post until Sunday, so I can’t say for sure if it will be a problem on these latter two links. On the former two, the next one posts in the morning. I’ve examined the code in the currently-scheduled post and the center tags are there. If they are stripped out when it posts in the morning, that will be the third day in a row it’s happened.

i’ve been having this same problem and it’s been driving me INSANE!

i’ve been using < div align=”center” > when scheduling posts and that’s been the trick but typing < center > is so much easier, such a shame it’s suddenly started disappearing. yes, that little time it takes to type the div code is just too long for me haha.

hope someone finds a better fix. it’s only been since upgrading.

After three days of it seeming to work correctly, this morning the tags were once again stripped out:

It may not answer why the code is being stripped, but <center> is deprecated code so not good to use at any rate. Same with the other.

I can accept that <center> is deprecated. I use it because it’s easier. However, the other code (for the poll widget) isn’t created by me and so I have no control over how that code is generated. But as I see this is a known issue, I can accept that it might get fixed soon.
