• I originally was trying to make a modification to a text widget and the changes were not showing on the front end UNLESS I am signed in as administrator. I read in the forum it could be a template issue so I activated the previously used template, tried to make the modifications (center the image, text and insert a break tag in the text)and it still did not work. I reactivated the currently used template and I cannot get it back….unless again I preview via the administrator. I have checked all browsers and cleared cache in everyone of them. The site is littlegreencloth.com

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Twelve theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Yes, I have tried deactivating all of the plugins. I don’t have any inactive plugins. How would I determine an issue by switching to the Twenty Twelve theme to rule out any theme-specific problems??? I just made sure all themes were updated. Forgive me for my ignorance but if I have a custom designed theme installed, how would the wordpress themes effect it?

I just don’t understand why the changes show when I view from the admin panel but as soon as I log out the old theme is still appearing. I just deactivated all of the plugins again.

You are currently using a custom theme (hence an unknown in terms of compatibility) and multiple plugins – including a caching plugin!
