FTP settings

  • Hi,

    I want to upload a theme mannualy via FTP to my localhost. When opening Filezilla it asks me for the following infomation
    Host
    Username
    Password
    Port

    Where do I retrieve this information from?

  • Why do you want to use FTP to upload a theme locally? You could just navigate to the themes directory of your local WordPress install and copy and paste it, or use the theme installer built into WordPress.

    As soon as I send this I got the idea and did the job. Thanks for your reply anyway.

    When I try to use the installer, it asks for FTP credentials. I’ve tried everything I can think of and it tells me that it can’t connect. Any ideas?

    i think you have to start with file manager
