The tabs on the edit posts and pages for uploading media, my slider add-on and to select visual or text editing do not work after the 3.5 upgrade. I also cannot create links, as other unresolved posts below state.
I have other WP sites on WP themes where the tabs work, but my magazine uses Studio Press’s Magazine child theme on a Genesis platform.
I restored to an older database with my host, but the new version is still there.
I’m out of business without this functionality.

    I found the problem.
I’ve got to say, I really like WordPress, but I really hate the support structure. The moderators move requests around, don’t help, and really, look how many unresolved issues there are. I know many of them are solvable with some effort on the user’s part, as in the days spent making guesses every time I have a problem with WP, but I also know the developers do not think well of many of the users, aren’t able to think outside their own understanding of an issue, and are either too busy or unconcerned to help.
I do understand there are millions of users. Perhaps one day, WP support can apply some its genius to user issue resolution. WordPress, five stars. WP support, zero.

The plugin KK Star Ratings somehow prevents the media uploader and the linking features from working.

I agree 100%. This system stinks! It takes days to try to fix a problem
My slider stopped working today I have not been on my site to work on it for a month.
I cannot find out how to fix it after 5 hours looking through the forums

Then consider ditching your theme, since nobody supports it.

If you want support from www.ads-software.com, use a product (theme and/or plugin) distributed on www.ads-software.com.

Sorry, but commercial themes aren’t supported on these forums – so for help with Genesis, you need to use studiopress’s forums.

If you have a WordPress issue (i.e the problem occurs in the default theme), then please start a new thread per the forum guidelines –
    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Forum_Welcome#Where_To_Post

Posting in an old thread already marked resolved is not the place to get help.
