• I’m pretty excited about my newly updated 3.5 wordpress. I also spent a lot of time focusing on adding plugins such as W3TC and Minify, along with a CDN. Now my site loads in 2.98-3.5 seconds (from 6.5 secs!) and I’m able to still use a lot of images on my Shakeology website.

Great improvements with WordPress 3.5 and the great supportive plugins. Let me know what you think over at my Shakeology site!

    Thanks

    Bob

    • Your line height of the headings on the Order page is too large. Readability is decreased.
    • Use a consistent colour scheme & other than available by default by the theme.
    • Use a maximum of 4 font sizes per page. Readability is decreased.
    • You have duplicated items in both navigations at the top of the page.
    • Even though your logo is textual, you’ve made it an image. You’re compromising SEO here.
    • The date below your comments’, “Person says” section is underneath the expected continuity. It looks bugged.
    • Your Order page isn’t valid to W3C standards. This compromises Accessibility and Search Engine Readability. I haven’t checked other pages.
    • You should remove all instances of Click here text for hyperlinks and have something more meaningful. This compromises accessibility and search engine readability.

The website looks a lot like the theme it derives.
If you’re trying to create an exciting atmosphere (as apparent through textual content), you need to carry that through with the design.

as it is, with the direct link to an ‘order’ page, this topic is more spamming than presenting your site.

a link to the site’s root url would have been more fitting to the idea of this ‘Your WordPress’ section.

Ok, I must say that this was immensely appreciated and helpful! As a newer WordPress user, Andrew, you have provided some key points. Also, Alchymyth, no intentional spamming, this is one of my key sites that gets the most traffic, which is why I was excited about the speed boost.

I will definitely take your points seriously!

As for themes, I’d love to get some input from the community on their favorites. Is it best from most points to use the simple versions such as Twenty Twelve (Twenty Eleven) over the things like newslayer which is what is on my site now?
