    I get the message: warning: your theme seems to be missing the template tag wp_footer();

My problem is I’m using footer-buddypress.php, not footer.php.
This is how the code appears: <?php wp_footer(); ?>

I followed the instructions: Alternatively you can go to Settings / Misc / General settings and change the option “Where to insert Javascript files on frontend?” to “header (+ inline javascript) but the menus under SETTINGS do not work. Nothing opens up when I click on GENERAL SETTINGS.

I originally installed the version before 3.2.2 and everything worked great! Then I upgraded to version 3.2.2 and have these problems. Version 3.2.3 did not address the SETTINGS menu problem.

I really love this plugin but I have way too much time invested in trying to fix this problem and am almost ready to move on to another map plugin.

    Please help?

  • Hi,
ad warning message: this one is only displayed on backend on leaflet maps marker pages. Will enhance the check with footer-buddypress.php and add an option to disable this check.

Just to be clear: maps are shown right? Your first issue is that you see the message although you wouldnt want to see it right?

Ad second issue/settings: are you already using WordPress 3.5? I guess this changed how scripts were included somehow as settings panel also broke if flickr gallery plugin was installed. Anyway please follow the steps from https://mapsmarker.com/readme-first to identify if there is a theme or plugin conflict.
    regards,

    Robert

    Hi again,
just release v3.2.4 which removed the check for wp_footer() in backend – see https://mapsmarker.com/v3.2.4 for details.

    Robert,

Your version 3.2.4 has fixed my problem of not displaying the map. Everything look good!

The settings tab still does not work.

I left you a glowing review. I admire your dedication.

    WordPress 3.5

    thats great to hear!

ad setting panel: I guess there might be a conflict with another plugin. have you tried disabling all other plugins to see if settings work again? If yes, please re-enable one plugin by one to identify the culprit and please tell me so that I can take a look and try to fix this.
    regards,
    Robert

    Robert,

I deactivated all my plugins and the settings panel still does not work. I noticed under settings – map defaults, there is a vertical box with a red outline on the left side with some links. Most of the links are cut off on the right side of the box.

Every button I click on the horizontal red bar shows a vertical menu to the left with everything being cut off on the right edge of the menu. Behind the vertical menu is a photo of you with copy that starts with: A message from the plugin′s author Robert Harm:

    I hope this helps,

    Gene

    Gene,
have you tried switching to the default theme as well? had the same error with 2 plugins which injected jquery javascript code not only on their pages but on all pages.
    regards,
    Robert
