Three days ago I updated to WP 3.5. Jetpack is now gone and site visits are coming in as “0” every day since. How can I get this corrected?

Anyone? I can’t possibly be the only person who lost JetPack or stats after an upgrade…any assistance is appreciated!

I’ve searched the forums to no avail on fixing this issue. I still don’t have JetPack or stats since the upgrade. I am using the Headway theme and loading via Firefox. Is anyone familiar with a fix for this issue? I would greatly appreciate the help!

What version of Jetpack were you running?

Not sure of the actual version, but I lost the latest version as of the last upgrade.

I tried reinstalling Jetpack from the add plugins page and it fails every time saying the destination folder already exists. Then I tried manually uploading it (Jetpack 2.1.1 zip file) and it fails there too.

Here is the message I am getting:
Installing Plugin from uploaded file: jetpack.2.1.1.zip

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the plugin…

    Destination folder already exists. /home/content/19/8052819/html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/

    Plugin install failed.

Well, since I had such a hard time getting an answer and spent WAY too much time trying to find it elsewhere, I’ll post the solution here in case someone else has this issue too.

The Jetpack file needs to be deleted via your FTP File Manager. The destination folder that existed had to be deleted before Jetpack could be re-installed via the plugins page. Just go to your FTP client via your hosting company to access and delete.

In retrospect, I imagine 99% of the people here probably already knew that. :/
