Is it possible to use unedited, original image with native resolution as a featured image?

Currently, Catchbox is cropping the image and using very bad jpg compression.

@suncokret: Yes you can use the original image with native resolution as a featured image if you upload the image with the exact size Featured Post Slider
    Width: 644px
    Height: 320px

Best option is to use the “Featured Image Slider” where you can upload your own Image, title, Description and links. But for this feature you need to upgrade to “Catch Box Pro” https://catchthemes.com/themes/catch-box-pro/

Thanks. I managed to leave everything intact and just use —> more option to split the text without using featured image. That way I have both image and the text.

i have upgraded to catchbox pro from catchbox free on my blog and now, my website it’s just amazing, i got so much option more then i expected and i want to thanks catchthemes for the really strong best support they give me all the time.

I have just started using Catch Box recently and I have just uploaded a picture as featured thumbnail for the post but when viewing at the list of posts, the image is in its full size, instead of default thumbnail size.

Was that intended? I have already disabled slideshow but to no avail. I am using version 1.7.

    Thanks

i think u need to upgrade at pro version of catchbox

Ok, the website says it supports featured thumbnail. I guess it might not be the case.

@gary: Can you send me your site URL. If you have just changed your theme then you need to regenerate the thumbnail using Regenerate Thumbnails plugin.

By default it should look like this https://catchthemes.com/demo/catchbox/ . Them image size has be to minimum Width: 644px
    Height: 320px

What I was saying that I wanted it to be a small thumbnail e.g. 150×150 or 190×190 but with the slideshow in place.

EDIT: I am using MAMP for it. When I switched to different theme, they shows thumbnail image in correct size, non-slideshow.

@gary: That’s our theme design style to show the Featured Images if you choose the “Content Layout” as “Show excerpt” in Theme Options. But if you want to use the default thumbnail and all why don’t you use “Show full content” layout option work on it.

Thanks Sakin. Just enabled full content and it doesn’t show featured thumbnail. I guess I can manually add the thumbnail to the post, instead of using featured image option.

@gary: Yes you are right, full content layout is the layout that you setup in your post. So it will show exactly like you setup in the post. It gives you lot of flexibility on how you want to show it.
