• Hi,
I have searched the entire web thin for solutions to my problem, and i have found a couple of suggestions, but none that solved my problems.
    I have 2 issues.

    1. On my website i have removed the title and tagline from the header, but now i have this gap between the menu-line and my banner. How do i rejoin them again?

    2. In my footer, i think its called, i have a text line ending with a tine image, for some reason i cant get the image to stay on the same line as the text. I’ve tried deleting some text, which resulted in the image lining up the right place along with the text, so it seems to me thats its a width-problem. However when i look at the site, it seems like there’s plenty of space – so how do i get it to use the full width? (i have tried editing the style.css #footer to 100% width, and a lot of other suggestions that i found on the internet)

My website URL is: ttp://www.restaurantaarestrup.dk i think its easier for you to see what im talking about rather than trying to explain it.

Hope you guys can help me

  • Don’t edit the Twenty Ten theme. First create a child theme for your changes.

First, thank you for correcting my post, I couldnt find an edit-button ??

Second, isnt it just easier to edit the original theme rather than creating a child theme? and by creating a child theme, i would still be left with the same visual setup and hence i would still have the same issues?

No – as the Twenty Ten theme will be updated regularly. if you update your copy, it will overwrite all of your customisations.

i would still have the same issues

Not if you then overwrote the parent’s CSS via the child theme’s stylesheet.

Okay, so i’ve created a child theme, could you help me with what lines of code i have to look closer into and rewrite/erase?
