Losing Facebook Likes

I have not received a reply to this yet. Why have my FB likes gone down???
We now have 96 ‘likes’ on our FB page

It’s most likely because you are displaying the likes of your domain and not the likes of the FB page but I might be wrong.

Upon looking at your site I can say that you are showing the ‘likes’ of the individual URL being viewed and not the ‘likes’ of your FB page.

To include a link to ‘like’ your FB page would require a different plugin. Consider using the official Facebook plugin for that.

Thanks, but that doesn’t explain some things

– Why did my ‘likes’ go down after the last set of WP and Jetpack upgrades?

– Jetpack was pretty much keeping up with my FB likes. The count always lagged a little, but it never went down.

– I’m using ‘official’ buttons in Jetpack. Shouldn’t they ‘officially’ be tracking my FB likes (not my home page url) likes?

I’m baffled by the amount of problems people have with JP. Just look at number the forum postings daily. My Publicize also does not work. This is supposed to be a WP-authored, user-friendly, compatible plugin. Right? I’d like to keep using it, but it seems to need some cleaning up. Thanks for letting me vent a little ??

Now, can a JP author answer why my likes went down and why my Publicize doesn’t work?
