emails????

  • For some reason, all of a sudden, WordPress is not sending out emails when i have something in wait for moderation or of a new comment is made for quite some time. It can be anywhere from half an hour to even a few hours before it finally sends it. This just started the other day. The only thing that has even been messed with are theme files and from what I’ve read, theme files don’t dictated when emails come out or anything along those lines.

    Is this happening to anyone else? How can I fix this?

    i’ve had the new release for some time now and this problem just started all of a sudden…

    For the record, it is happening to me too and at least one other WP user I know personally. To my knowledge, no one has fixed the issue. The problem started for me a week or two AFTER installing WP 2.0 and still is happening in WP 2.0.1.

    Any coding geniuses out there willing to look into this?

    yeah, everyone is saying that its been happenning to htem for a while, ever since they installed 2.0, but not for me. I wonder if its the same issue? I used to get them immediately, then all of a sudden a couple nights ago they started to lag. I tested my email account and emailed it from other email accounts and the emails were immediate, so I know that its not an issue with my email server or host…

    hmm…???

    I should clarify that:

    I upgraded to WP 2.0 and e-mail notification worked for the first couple weeks, then stopped suddenly despite no changes being made to either WP or its plug-ins.

    Someone suggested it has something to do with information in the /wp-includes/functions.php file, the header information on the e-mail sent, and your e-mail host’s filters.

    scottorama, you post is for 1.5, kinda didn’t work for 2.0/2.0.1…

    i kinda used the one release before the duke(wasnt nightly), and it worked for me perfectly, but yesterday there was a host change, so i thought – why not 2.0.1. and now no emails are comeing and i had to change the permalink structure(which i didnt like either)

    no answer yet?

    How do I set up moderation … HELP

    nope…no answer…

    i’ve been looking from time to time…

    i just don’t understand it…i did nothing to anything other than some theme files…just all of a sudden they emails from wordpress stopped being delivered immediately…

    I’m going to bump this again.

    Please… there’s got to be some coding wizard out there that can figure this out!
