AEC and Pagelines theme conflict: events description dont show up

I installed the latest Pagelines theme and now the event description modal for AEC is not working properly. The screen will still go dark when an event on the calendar is clicked but the description does not show up. I tested in an environment with only AEC plugin and Pagelines theme installed.

I’ve searched through the Pagelines forum and the problem seems to be persistent but no concrete solution has been found.
