XML sitemap goes to Error 404 page

I just found the same issue, as reported by Google Webmaster Tools. For now, I’ve reinstated the tried & true Google XML Sitemap plugin bug I’m hoping that Joost will let us know what is wrong with the plugin!

I have the same issue on one of my sites, but not the other. The site that has the problem uses the default WP permalink structure, while the one that doesn’t, uses the post name structure.

Oh, I should add, I’m using WP 3.5 and the newest version of this plugin (1.3.4.1)

@henriksigvardt: Glad it worked out. Sadly, I can’t really change my WP permalink structure (long story), so I was hoping that this was not a requirement. I haven’t seen anything in the documentation for the plugin that says that the permalink structure has to change from “ugly” in order to generate an XML sitemap.

Or am I blind?

@bassicsax: Don’t think so. I didn’t see anything about the permalinks/XML sitemap either.
