Social Icon links append my website on Platform (lite) Theme by pagelines.

  • Hello – I am new to WP and am using the lite version of Platform by Pagelines. Has anyone had issues with the social icons on top right not working? I went into the Pagelines Setting –> Header and Nav and put in our FB and Twitter info, but when you click on it, it appends our website adddress first followed by what we keyed in the Header and NaV section. Any idea anyone?

    In the dashboard, are you able to set the URL for it to point to? If so, what is the URL at the moment?

    Hi Andrew i finally figured it out. Funny i spent hours looking at it, then i post and i get it right after. So it appears within the template you have to put https://www.facebook.com/yourlink else it will automatically append your website address first. I had https://www.facebook.com/yourlink.

    ?? I had the same problem on these forums. 5 months before I realised my website was linking to https://www.ads-software.com/support/www.mywebsite.co.uk
    – I had to append https:// before www
