background picture and text

  • Hi I am terrible at this and I wanted some help.

    When you select a background picture it only shows up like an inch on all sides, how do you make it the entire background?

    Also how do you change the font of the writing?

    twenty twelve, I dont mind changing the theme if the new one will allow me to cuztomize the appearance

    Twenty Twelve is the new one.

    In the Custom CSS section of the dashboard, enter this;

    body .site {
 background: transparent;
}

    where is the custom css section? is it on the left tool bar because i dont see it ??

    Download the Jetpack plugin and use its Custom CSS section.

    Hi, I have a similar problem, only my home page has full background while the other pages show only about an inch of each side (I have no idea how I did that… only that I have changed the appearance of the original home page to the one I have now).
    I would like to also change the background of the boxes on the right hand side of the page.
    I have responsive theme.
    Please consider that this is the first site I build – so have very little experience or know how…
    Also, am trying to learn how to put a Facebook “Like” icon on the main page. Any advice would be much appreciated.
