• Hi there,

Please can you help me log back into my Admin page on my website: https://www.glyniswozniak.co.uk

Please be advised that I am not computer literate so need step by step instructions on how to get back in.

Each time I attempt to log in, I receive Server Error HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfil the request.

I would really appreciate your guidance as have a missing Contact page and urgently need to update my site.

    Huge thanks!

    Gx

  • Did you recently change something to your page? It looks like the redirect is not going like it should. As you are not into this either you could have accidently threw away a file called .htaccess or your hoster changed something.

Another thing could be new plugins, updating something or any other changes.

https://www.glyniswozniak.co.uk/wp-admin.php doesn’t seem to exist, but you can try logging in at : https://www.glyniswozniak.co.uk/wp-login.php

    That seems to work.

If you didn’t do anything and this doesn’t solve anything it’s time to start to talk to your hosters support desk

    Thank you for your suggestion.

I did indeed change to a different theme and the problems happened immediately after that.

I attempted to log in at https://www.glyniswozniak.co.uk/wp-login.php but it still shows an error.

Can you let me know how I talk to my hosters support desk as I can find no contact details re this?

    Gx

I don’t see any errors, but maybe after you login.

The only thing I can suggest is logging in via FTP (client), probably you have some login information from your hosting and temporary deleting the offending theme ( be sure to make a backup!)

Yes, you’re correct ~ the errors come up once I attempt to log in. It has been suggested I log in via FTP before, but don’t know how. Are you able to explain it to me? I appreciate your answers! Thanks Gx

Download a FTP-client like Filezilla client

Obtain user name and password from your hoster ( if you use the FTP function in WordPress you already know it )

Then backup ( ie download ) your wp-content / plugins map ( and maybe the /theme map as well ) and see if that fixes your problem.
