I apologize for posting again but I have figured some things out but became more confused on others. By default, my wordpress page shows the 10 latest posts on the homepage. However, when I click older entries, I get sent to a 404 error page not found. I’ve tried changing the number of posts per page and it works somewhat but I still get the error. If I lower my post count down to 3 or 4, I can scroll about 3 pages and then I get the 404 error page after that.

What makes this even more strange, I have Reviews, Videos, and Articles on my menu tab. The bottom navigation works fine in those places, just not on my home page.

I’ve installed WP PageNavi, deleted and reinstalled the theme, deactivated my plugins, widgets.

I’m getting a bit nervous because we are growing very quickly and I don’t want to see our post get lost or be inaccessible from the main page. Any help would be great.

    Thank you.
    Zack

    Hello!
I’d love to help, but I’m having trouble recreating this bug. I tried it on my demo site, set post count to 1 per page, and I was still able to go to every page, didn’t encounter 404 even once. Please tell me more about your installation – how many reviews, videos and posts do you currently have? What plugins do you use? Did you try turning off the plugins?

Ok, I found the problem and I’m working on a solution. Please be patient ??

I have the same problem. Ive installed WP PageNavi, but didnt worked out for me. I saw your demo, and it works, how can we fix that? Tell us and we could modify the theme files. Just tell us where and what code.

Thank you for your theme, it`s awesome

    Hi Alex,

Just for your info, we have 9 reviews, 6 posts, and 1 video. The plugins that we are using are WP PageNavi, BM Custom Login, Custom About Author, and Mingle Forums are the only plugins that we are using. I have tried deactivating them but still no luck.

    Thank you

I have a clean install and 9 posts (3 reviews, 2 video, and 4 simple posts)

I actually just added a bunch of TEST post. I displayed the default 10 post per page and created a bunch of test posts until it reached a 3rd page. At that point, I was able to navigate to page 2 but not page 3

Why is this topic resolved ? I didn`t resolved my problem. alex27 could you give me some piece of advice what to do ?

x.uereb, it didn’t say resolved for me. Like I said in a previous post, I just found the problem and I can work around it, but I wouldn’t go as far as saying it’s resolved.

Please be patient, as I said I’m working on it. The solution is not so simple, so I won’t be posting any advice, you’ll have to wait for the update, which should arrive by the end of next week. I might post it earlier on my website, when it’s ready I’ll post info here.

ok, i`m looking forward to see the theme working fine.

Ok, I can live with that. In the meantime I have a temporary work around. Thanks again Alex.

This went faster than I anticipated. You can download GamePress 1.0 from my website, or wait until it’s approved into themes repository. This is a major update (more info in readme.txt), so stay safe and remember about backups before upgrade ??
