after last image gallery goes back to the start

I have several images automatically scrolling (I’ve display:none the thumbsarea) but after the last image is shown, it whizzes back to the beginning.

Is there a way for the scroll to *continue forward* after the final image with the first image so there’s no awkward fast scroll back to the start?
