Can't Add Images with Media Library function in WP 3.5

  • When I try to use Media / Add New and drag an image file to the upload area, I get this error:

    “GopherTortoise231.jpg” has failed to upload due to an error
    The uploaded file could not be moved to /home/clarkesvillelibrary.org/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2013/01.

    The directories exist in that path and have the correct permissions. I can do anything with FTP.
