    Ok i see:

Does the uploaded file get deleted off my server once it has been uploaded to Dropbox?

No. The file is stored on your server and in your Dropbox account.

It’s a pity because i have a limit php and limited space in my server…

    Hi Ben,

This feature is tagged for the next release in a few weeks. If you need it urgently email me and we can discuss it.

    Good news !

No is not urgently, but the advantage is the upload on the Dropbox without transit in my server.

I’m looking forward to the new release.

    Hi,

I was curious as to if this features has been implemented yet? I have a client who would like to have their clients upload confidential financial information to their dropbox account but we do not want the files to be stored on the server for obvious security reasons. They prefer to use dropbox so this is a great solution, but whatever solution we use, it has to be secure so just wanted to see before proceeding with this. Thanks!

Regarding the feature above, if it has not been implemented, let’s discuss how much it would cost to get that implemented? It may be worth it for my client. I already use gravity forms and dropbox so this is definitely my preferred way to go.

    Hi Nicole,

This feature is yet to be implemented but I would be happy to discuss the costs to have this completed for your client.

Please email [email protected] and we can discuss it further.

As a side note, since you are working with confidential financial information I advice you install and use an SSL certificate (if you are not already) on all your forms/admin area.

Hi, has this feature been fixed?

    Thanks.

    Hi Patrice,

The latest release has this feature added. You need to enable it on the settings page once installed.

Hi, we see the checkbox and checked it. But files still go onto my server. Anything I’m missing?

    Thanks so much.

    Hi Patrice,

There is no way around the files first going to your server before being sent to Dropbox. By enabling the checkbox you will then delete the files from the server.

    Hi,

We have used the checkbox and tested it several times over the past week. The files are not being deleted. They are still there.

Unless it takes a few days to delete?

    Please advise.
    Thanks.

    Hi Patrice,

No. It should happen instantly after uploading to Dropbox.

Do you have any errors in your log files? If you are on a development server perhaps you can enable WP_DEBUG in your wp-config.php file and try upload a file again and see if any errors occurred.

I’ll ask my developer about the debug. Thanks for trying to troubleshot.

Hi, my developers are no longer working on this issue. We are not in debug mode. Is there something I can do now? I am not used to working with css files.

    Thanks.

    Hi Patrice,

Did your developers find any errors in your logs? What did they do to debug the problem?

As I haven’t be able to replicate the issue the next step is to get access to your server and debug the problem. Please contact me on [email protected] and we can discuss premium support.
