Margin issues in FF and IE

    Ok this is weird. I have margin issues. https://www.auxillary-works.nl/temp for pictures.
    FireFox has ‘bottom’ issues.
    IE has ‘top’ issues.

    I keep having a WHITE space, which is the bg picture horizontally centered. There is a margin (padding) before the content begins (IE) or ends (FF).

    I am using an adaptation of Hemingway Bright theme (https://wpthemes.info/). I searched and puzzled over the stylesheet for days now, but can’t find anything to resolve this weird problem.

    Does anyone maybe have a clue in which direction I should go?
