cant log in to local host

I’ve made a mess. Using MAMP, I set up a blog on my mac. When it was ready I attempted to move it online to a server. Some things like the stylesheets and images came across but none of the posts or categories. I realized I didn’t move the site correctly and went back to the local host to try to export my posts and everything correctly but I can’t log in. When I try to login on the local host page the “login” link sends me to the online server (where part of the site is after I tried to move it.) So any reset password resets the online version but not the local version and I’m stuck in a loop prevents me from getting into the local site where I can do a mysql dump. My little knowledge has been a dangerous thing.
