    Hi,

    Great and very helpful plugin!

I am trying to deactivate the following admin menus for Editors, Contributors and Subscribers:

    Jetpack
    Tools
    Settings

But when I apply the settings it does work and hide the menus for Contributors but the Featured Image metabox for add/edit posts doesn’t show even if checked in the Screen Options.

If I Deinstall Options in Adminimize, and deactivate the plugin the Featured Image metabox works again.

    How can I fix this?

Just to note, I have Role Scoper to manage Contributor groups to only see certain Categories.

    Hope to get help.

    Thanks!

if you select only the menu items, not a meta box settings, or?
do yoj have active the cbeckbox for featured image in write post and page active for the right roles?

In Adminimize settings, I only deactivated the menus I want to hide and I did not deactivated the Featured Image under Write options – Post.

In short nothing is changed in the default options of Write options – Post.

But if you will hide a Meta Box on write options, than it is important, that you active the checkboxes in this selection. The hiding of menu item have not the result, taht you hide a meta box.
Maybe you can explaine this, maybe screenshots, that I understand better. Thanks.

    Hi Frank,

Thanks for you response, that’s actually the problem, why when I hide a Menu it will also hide the featured image. Anyhow, I resulted to using a simpler menu hider. Will just try using Adminimize again when I need more control.

Thanks for developing and supporting this plugin!

but this is very different. Can you send as image with hints, what you will hide in the backend?
