• Hi,

I removed my wordpress database on my cpanel, by mistake does anyone know where the file is located so I can restore the database and the site. Or know how I can get the site online without losing all the content on the site!

I was thinking maybe I could located the database file then remake the db and the site may come back online, or download the theme files with all the content already on zip it make a new wp site with db and upload that.

    Any got any ideas

    thanks!

Edit the database is still here just the user was removed, so is there any fix from this point

    thanks!

A database is not stored in a file. It’s just a… database. You need to contact your hosts asap to see if they can restore your database for you.

I know its not a file, but a file will have my db info on e.g what user name its trying to use which password its trying to use. If I have that info I can re make those accounts and the site will be back online?

I’m asking where that file is

[ Please do not bump, that’s not permitted here. ]

It’s your wp-config.php file in your root WordPress folder.
