Shipping calculator?

  • Hello… So far woo seems to be a pretty good e-com and I seem to be doing okay setting everything up. I am a bit baffled by the shipping choices though. It’s either flat rate or free, and neither of those work very well when selling bakery goods. I know that woo has a plugin that is a calculator, but for 1. It’s $100 and that seems a bit excessive and 2. It seems to be configured to the UK instead of the US (which is where the company is based and will be shipping within). Does anyone know of a plugin that is compatible with woo and will calculate shipping based off weight and is not $100?

    @jess0310 … are you wanting to provide realtime shipping costs to your customers when they are at the checkout of just a standard (flat rate) for all/some products?

    I would like to have a calculator. As in by weight or even by total price of the cart would do. This way some one that is getting 20 granola bars will be charged more than someone who is getting 3 whoopie pies. Does that make sense?

    I need urgent help or idea. I run an online shopping system. I would want users to pay delivery/shipping charges based on location i.e mileage.

    I want the cart to calculate the distance from the store to the user’s deliver address. thus charging an account per mile/km.

    Any ideas on this. I could do this in normal php but couldn’t integrate with with woo commerce

    @jess0310 – that sounds fairly simple. Are you wanting to have a flat rate – i.e. 3 bars always = $10, and 20 bars = $15 anywhere in the region you are selling?

    @itischarles – I’d suggest that this would need to be built as a shipping extension/service.
