I have been getting this error when trying to run update-links.php for a few weeks now.

Has the syntax for updating pingomatic changed?

    Thanks.

  • I get this error periodically when I activate the Blogroll Update plugin. Essentially what it means is that the Pingomatic server is unavailable at that particular moment.

I am always getting that error…

    ??

I also get this error all the time, the update links function has not worked even once for me.

It seems that there is a problem with the api.pingomatic.com subdomain, it doesn’t resolve correctly.

Has anyone figured this out? ??

Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

Unfortunatly, I don’t think there is anything we can do, the problem seems to be with api.pingomatic.com. It seems to be down or inaccessible for whatever reason.

It seems anyone who has tried to contact them (at pingomatic) regarding this, does not recieve any reply, nor have any threads regarding this (in the recent past) been commented to by Mr. Mullenweg or anyone else who would have insight into when this may be fixed or if there is a work-a-round.

    Here’s hoping!

    Michael.

    Thanks Michael.

On a side note… Where do I change the format of the updated site. IE. When a site is updated on my links page there are brackets that appear around the link ( <<Link>> ) – Does anyone know where I change this? Or what file to modify?

    Thanks.
