It should work just fine with Androids and iOS devices! Flowplayer 5 supports those and this plugin integrates Flowplayer 5.

    I’m afraid it does not.
It will work if the Android or iPhone has a third party player installed.
In some of these cases autoplay function does not work, but that’s not the end of the world.
It really needs to work with the default phone set-up to be useful.
I interpreted responses to posts on the Flowplayer Forum to suggest that there was a way to go yet.
The files do play fine in Flowplayer 5 on a variety of browsers on PC’s etc.
It is installed on a test site if that helps.

As I said, great idea and I’m itching to get hold of a licence, once it works OK.

@amadain I looked at the test page on my android phone and it has a default setup. The test manual page loads the video and plays fine on my phone. The test page also autoplays fine.

Thanks, it may be a model / network specific issue in that case.
I have just checked our phones again:
In Ireland on my Galaxy S2 I get the control panel only on ‘Test’ which does not work and on ‘Test Manual’ a black panel with the message “No video with supported format and MIME type found”
In Ireland on the Galaxy Mini both pages show an arrow ‘Play’ symbol with three animated circles above, but touching the graphic has no effect.
In the UK on different networks, the animations do not work on a current iphone.
A Samsung Galaxy S3 shows the videos, but it does have an MP4 player installed.
    I will continue my investigations!!!
As a matter of interest which phone works?

What I should add is that in order to present this as a solution to a client I need it to work on the majority of devices.

My phone is a droid bionic and I’m accessing from the US.

You might want to check the flowplayer forums. I just wanted to at least point out that it loads without an issue for me. The flowplayer forum should be able to give you more input about device compatibility and any information about why it may not be working for you on some devices.
