Best way to implement a cycling header image with text

  • Hi,

    I am developing my own theme, I would like to allow the header to support several images, each one with a short paragraph of text and a link.

    I would like to keep to WordPress coding standards as much as possible and Ideally this wouldn’t involve a plugin as I would like to distribute this theme in a standalone fashion.

    Any help would be appreciated,
