File backup doesn't seem to include "dot" files

    I had to recover from a catastrophe over the weekend and luckily I had recent backups made by Simple Backup. However, the file system backup does not seem to include “dot” files. For example, my .htaccess wasn’t in there and this caused me a lot of grief as the “restored” WordPress site was really broken without it. Is there an option to include these files?

    Sorry to hear about your trouble.
    We just checked out backup files and they all include the .htaccess file.
    It would be helpful to know more about the server your website is hosted on.
