• Hi guys,

I’m trying to post an article to my site and I receive the following error whe I click save.

“You don’t have permission to access /wordpress/wp-admin/post.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

I have the article both on WORD and TEXT EDIT. I’ve highlighted the article and drag/drop into the post section from both programs. I have already done this before and I have no idea why I’m not allowed now. I really don;t want to have to RE-type the whole dang thing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated…
    Thanx,
    Marco

  • It will be a single word doing this.
Words like Curl, CC and others are know to cause it.

If you can test save paragraph by paragraph you’ll be able to find the offending word.
This is not a bug – it is a security layer on the server which unfortunately has this side-effect.

Thanx podz – I’ll give that a go.

Just a thought though… It is a health website which will include the word “curl” for an exercise. If that is it, what might I do to circumvent the issue in the future?

You could try putting a non-break space after it ? or before ?

     curl
    curl

    see if that works ?

podz… I’ve tried what you suggested and it does seem to allow me to write in the post area, sometimes, and even when I can get the text into the post area I cannot publish. When I try I get the same error message. Even if I type it directly into the html source.
