Text area box shrinks while typing in IE7

I created a form using Contact Form 7. The form has a text area box. It is working fine in all browsers except Internet Explorer 7. In IE7, the text area box shrinks while typing in it. As soon as I start typing in the box, the box width gets smaller with each stroke of the keyboard.
The form sends fine, even after the text box shrinks all the way to one character wide.
Any one else noticing this problem in IE7 or know of a fix? Thanks!
