    Hello,
I recently switched over from WordPress.com. It’s the third site I’ve switched. The first two times everything went fine. This time, however, my domain name suddenly has an extra .wp on the end. It shows up in my dashboard and when I enter the URL it takes me to Index of/ page. If I click on the wp it takes me to my site but the website name at the top right of the dashboard has a wp on the end. My other sites didn’t do this. I’m not sure if I somehow added it somewhere by mistake? Anyway here is my URL

    https://www.modernbabylonreader.com/wp/

    Should just be https://www.modernbabylonreader.com/

If I do any admin stuff the Url has 2 wp’s now instead of one like my other sites.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just checked that and it had the extra wp on the end. So I changed it but now when I enter the url it goes to my site but with no controls or theme.????

    Thanks for your prompt response.

I just asked what it was. I didn’t suggest that you changed it! See Changing_The_Site_URL for details of how to do this properly. ??

Ooops. I used the first two instructions for changing the url @ Changing_The_Site_URL with no changes. It didn’t do anything. I guess I messed it up. I don’t know. Any suggestions?

Try the second method (via functions.php), Remove any added lines from your wp-config.php file.

I tried the first two methods. Neither of them worked. I reloaded the page several times as well as removing the updated code and nothing happened. Also emptied my cache just in case. Nothing.

No – you must only try one method at a time. Try the second method (via functions.php), Remove any added lines from your wp-config.php file.
