• I am getting ready to update WordPress to version 3.5. I have WordPress running on a Windows Server 2008 R2, IIS 7.0 platform running PhP. Does anyone have experience using a tool in this environment to backup (and manage) their MySQL database associated with their web site?

I see a number of tools suggested, but none seem to be ready to use in my environment. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

  • MySQL has two tabs. One for managing the databases and one for managing backups. I think that is normal. I use no tools just the built in backup.

All I find on my Windows Server 2008 R2 is a MySQL Server 5.1 Command Line Client (the old DOS command line box). So the two tabs of which you speak are not there. Any other ideas?
