Relevance is way off

  • I don’t know what the problem is, even with post titles at x5 weight titles of exact pages never come up as top search terms wether it’s posts or pages. I’ve reindexed my stuff multiple times and tried a variety of settings all with Relevance as the top priority setting but man it is way off all the time.

    I want this plugin to work for us, but it is really bad so far. Any suggestions how to set the settings to increase it’s accuracy?

    Also, forgot to mention, certain posts “stick” they are in the top 3 results inexplicably no matter what I’m searching and have nothing to do with the terms searched in most cases including no tags and no categories matching…

    Are your search results being provided by Relevanssi at all? Do they change if you deactivate or activate Relevanssi? I’d start there.

    If there are posts sticking to the top of the results, what’s putting them there? Something must be, because they won’t just get there by themselves. So what’s doing that?
