Still getting comments on deleted pages

Hi all, I’m having a weird issue on my WP site, https://www.taralemana.com. I’m using WP 3.5. There used to be a page with a post on it, it was the welcome page and the post was titled “Hi There” and went on to introduce myself. Months ago I set this page to private and used a different page as my home page and disabled comments on all pages because I was getting nothing but spam. Comments on every page stopped – except for the supposedly private “Hi There” post, which wasn’t visible on the site.

Several days ago I deleted the page altogether in an effort to stop the spam completely, but both today AND yesterday I got yet more spam comments, once again on the now non-existent “Hi There” page.

Can anyone offer any insight on what’s going on or how to fix it? How can comments be posted on a page that doesn’t exist?????
