Can this plug-in be used on a widgetized page?

Really like this plug-in. If I widgetize a page, can I use this plug-in on a page as a gallery with the images linking to each post? If this is possible, will the images display in columns (maybe 3, 4 or 5 columns? And will the gallery be automatically updated whenever I publish a new post?
